As many of you inflatable furniturephiles know, many of the most sought after inflatable chairs and sofas, the Super Bubble Chair and Sofa, have been out of stock on ALL online inflatable furniture retailer websites. Well I just received word that those items will be in stock sometime within the next 30 days! How exited am I? VERY! I haven't been able to get these items since November of 2005. I called one of the retailers to confirm the rumors. The person I spoke with said the Super Bubble items are expected in on 11/15/2006. That's just in time for Christmas.

Blow-up Furniture Shortage
This just in, I can't find all the blow-up furniture I want for my new fall color decorating scheme. If you will notice on most of the inflatable furniture websites out there, many of the items are out of stock or on back-order. This is due to the fact that almost every internet retailer is getting the items from the same supplier. And apparently, this supplier is out of stock. I've called around and emailed many of the companies online and they all confirm this fact. The furniture, which is manufactured in China has been out for quite some time, and there is no ETA. So I guess all we can do is wait. But if I have to wait too long to get an orange inflatable sofa, I am going to be quite upset!

Back to School: University Furniture
Well, as most of us are heading back to school, we are haunted by the eternal question: How should I furnish my dorm? Everybody knows what my answer is: inflatable furniture. And here are my reasons why (besides the fact that I am completely biased):
These are just a few reasons why I push inflatable furniture. I could go on and on... and I will- that's the whole point of my blog.
- Easy to clean (1st roommate was a slob)
- Cheap to replace (good for party schools)
- Easy to move
- Comfortable for studying (or Xbox 360)
- Inflatable/Deflatable
These are just a few reasons why I push inflatable furniture. I could go on and on... and I will- that's the whole point of my blog.

Inflatable Order Horror Story
Tip: Never buy from an ecommerce site that does not offer an 800 number or an address.
There seem to be a lot of fly by night businesses around on the Internet these days. A recent experience of a friend of mine brought this issue into light not too long ago. My friend had ordered about 20 inflatable furniture pieces from a website that had the best prices she could find. The items were needed for a big event and they were needed by a critical deadline. After she placed the order, she did not hear back from the company. She sent several emails but they were not answered. Did the order go through? Would the items be shipped on time? There was no way of knowing. She decided to contact another company that sold the same items, however she placed the order over the phone... with a live person. The customer service representative took her order, provided a confirmation, and set up to have the order shipped overnight, all in a single phone call. Additionally, the rep even called back the next day to make sure everything arrived.
So what's the moral of the story? Well there are a couple. First, you get what you pay for. When you are shopping for the lowest price, know that there is a reason why some companies have to charge a little more. Sometimes it is for an expert staff like in my friend's scenario. The other point, look for an 800 number with a live person on the other end. Having a voice you can talk to can make the difference between peace of mind or an event deadline missed.

Summertime & Inflatables
Maybe it is the summertime air, or maybe the excitement of school being out, but one thing is for sure: inflatable furniture is more popular now then ever! As I scan several websites that offer inflatable items for sale, I notice items coming in and going out of stock rather quickly. The Super Bubble Inflatable Chairs and Sofas seem to be (and have been for several months) out of stock. However the Original Bubble Sofas and Beanless Sofas are fully stocked as of this posting. Also, almost all inflatable chairs (in adult sizes) seem pretty hard to come by these days. There must be a summer rush. All I know is, when they come back in stock, I wouldn't wait too long to place an order.
I spoke with a customer service rep at one of the major online retailers of inflatable furniture and he said that almost all ecommerce site that offer inflatable furniture get the items from the same supplier, so when one site is out of stock in an item, all of the sites are out of stock. Oh well, it's like the song goes, "There ain't no cure for the summertime blues."

Inflated Chair: A Pro Gamer's Companion
Playing video games can involve various movements like shifting to either side, moving backwards and leaning forwards. And despite all my efforts, turning the controller does not steer the car any better while playing a driving game. Sitting in a typical chair hinders your free movement with the game. An inflatable bean(less) bag chair, due to its soft and flexible nature, adjusts itself with the size of the person sitting. The air filled chair molds easily and makes playing video games really easy. Now I have lightning fast reflexes and turbo speed in all I do!
